In 2005 within the framework of the second stage of wheel-rolling production revamp at OAO Nizhniy Tagil Iron & Steel Works, being General Contractor SME Tomsk Electronic Company entered on Railroad Wheels Final Inspection Line project. The partners were the following companies: Wheelabrator Group (Toronto, Canada), NPO INTROTEST (Yekaterinburg), Research Institute LKP in co-operation with OMZ Viktoria (Khotkovo), the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Research (Germany). In August 2007 this line underwent commercial testing successfully.

In September, 2005 as to expand functional capabilities of the equipment for Wheels Final Inspection Lines for Nizhniy Tagil Iron & Steel Works, our Company was engaged in revamping the existing Final Inspection Line-2. The main task of this work was equipping of the existing line with shot peening machines and application of anticorrosive protection without shutting the existing line down. This work was successfully completed and at the end of 2007 FIL-2 was put into service in full.

In November, 2007 within the framework of the third stage of wheel-rolling production revamp at OAO Nizhniy Tagil Iron & Steel Works, under the contract with Andritz MAERZ GmbH Tomsk Electronic Company started developing conveying equipment and manipulators for Wheels and Tires Thermal Processing Line. On December 22, 2008 the first stage of the processing line was put into the operation.
